1 week agoA widespread power outage on Saturday paralyzed around 50,000 households and 2,000 businesses in southwest Berlin. The fire department is working in large numbers to supply power to care homes. The incident is reminiscent of a previous politically motivated attack on the power grid.

The Operational Plan for Germany (OPLAN) warns that hybrid attacks may be used to prepare a full military confrontation. As NATO’s main logistics hub, Germany expects to be targeted early in any major conflict, including attacks on both military and civilian infrastructure.
